Our F&P Smart Drive washing machine had a faulty pump, and the technician came out and repaired it.
I did a wash, and then on the next wash it threw a new and different error code - 00001001. According to this (https://www.manualslib.com/manual/697170/Fisher-And-Paykel-Smartdrive.html?page=23) it is "Phase 1 to 6 - Size Switch Error". I'm not technical and I don't understand what any of the error description means.
What's a massive pain is that the technicians charge $100 per call out. I paid $230 for parts and labour just a few days ago, and now might be up for another $100 + parts if it needs fixing. The machine is 16 years old so if I had known at the first fix there would be multiple parts required then I wouldn't have bothered, as it was the original $130 parts charge had me almost deciding to replace it.
I have a couple of questions:
- does anyone know what parts charge I could be up for related to the error code
- could the error code shown above have been caused by the pump installation, or equally is it a fault the original technician should have checked for after/during the pump installation.
All help appreciated.
