Hi

 

I am after a dimmer to control the intensity of a floor lamp.  

 

I cant seem to find any in NZ and wonder if this type of dimmer is not for sale due to safety reasons etc. 

 

One that I can wire in-line would be preferred.  (the other option is a standard wall dimmer in a conduit box but that is going to look messy and ugly)

 

 

 

Below is one from AliExpress that I like, as it is foot operated rather than a dial knob that you need to reach with your hand.

I've seen plenty of floor lamps with slide dimmers that you could operate with a foot if you liked,  So I don't think it a regulation thing....

 

Edit: just had a quick look and found this site

They have two foot slide dimmers at the bottom of the page (the price is pretty horrid), but shows that its not likely a regs issue...
