Hi there, i'm building a new house and was considering Rhino Evercore laminated timber flooring. Has anyone ever had any issues with this product, or alternatively any stories about it being a great product please?

Isn't this the one they have only just released?
we were looking at it for our place but we had reasons that were not product related for not going ahead with it.

I did testing between multiple samples of Quickstep Majestic, Rhino Evercore and Karndean Korlok laminate flooring just last month as we are currently building. The sales rep at Carpet Court got me larger pieces of all three products and I spilled a lot of water on top, underneath and around it and noticed results after 24 hours. Evercore and Korlok held up best because they are LVT based. The water spilled on top and side grooves of Quickstep Majestic did not do any damage however underneath, it swelled a little that I could notice that it was not flat anymore to my naked eye.
We selected Quick Step Majestic - It's 9.5mm thick + 2mm underlay. It also did not scratch at all. Evercore came second in scratching and Korlok scratched the most applying same pressure from same object which was a small chefs knife.
Both the Evercore and Korlok have underlay underneath each plank attached however these are only 5.5mm and 6.5mm thick respectively.
Majestic was the best to walk on and it felt good. Korlok was second best to walk on and Evercore was least comfortable to walk on. I placed the planks on my garage floor so it was completely flat and walked barefoot. The Majestic did feel little cold compared to Korlok and Evecore when walking barefoot but nothing that felt uncomfortable. Price of Majestic was only little more than Evercore. Korlok was 3rd cheapest. We decided to spend extra $200 and have booked the installed to do the hydra seal around kitchen, scullery and laundry rooms so if water was to leak around the corners it will not get underneath the plank.
I highly recommend that you get bigger size samples to take home and to check the samples colour under morning, afternoon natural light and night time LED light in rooms (warm white or cool white depending on what you pick) as we ended up changing our colour when we saw it under our existing home environment and not showroom lighting.
