Hi all,

Please see these photos. There is a TON of blowflies hanging around this particular hedge. The hedge is next to my bins, but my bins are pretty clean. It's weird. They also appear to be eating the leaves or something? The other hedges are OK at this stage.

Is there something I should spray on the hedge?

Cheers!

Looks like an Acmena hedge (Lilly Pilly).
It's called "bubble leaf" and is a pretty common problem at this time of year. Not caused by the blowflies but other bugs (Psyllids) doing that.

Cut the infected bits off and spray the rest.
Any garden centre will be able to sell you a spray for it.

Psyllids often leave nectar behind. Ants follow them for it, the blowflies are probably after the same.
