Hi all,
Are NZ Ryobi 18v One+ batteries compatible with a Ryobi cordless tool purchased from a overseas website?

Asking because I'm looking at maybe purchasing a Ryobi 18v bandsaw bare skin from Home Depot/Sears so I have a quieter option to cut stuff with at my e-waste recycling job because my co-worker whines about the noise my Ryobi grinder makes.

yes i believe all ryobi tools use the same 1+ battery system. USA just market it as 20V instead of 18V

Yes they are, and I have bought Ryobi One tools from Amazon and used them with my NZ purchased batteries.

Get some ear muffs as well just in case as it is still a power saw and will be noisy.

They can get away with that because the LiIon nominal voltage of 3.7V in a standard 5-pack works out to ~18V, but the max.charge voltage of 4.2V works out to ~20V. And at a low enough discharge current it'll stay at 4.2-4.0V for as long as several minutes into the discharge cycle, so technically it's not lying even if you'd never get that in practice.
