Hi everyone

I am looking at installing an old gothic church window, its one that comes to a point at the top, I have run into a slight issue with the weather proofing and I was wondering if someone might know how or if someone might know someone I can talk to on how to do the head flashing on a window of this style?

Interesting question - I have no first-hand experience but just googled and found this:

https://www.jlconline.com/how-to/exteriors/q-a-flashing-an-arched-window_o

It looks like it can be done with flexible flashing tape as part of a wrap system. These guys seem to have the products and they have an 0800 number:

https://www.thermakraft.co.nz/_assets/img/products/Aluband%20Window%20Sealing%20System/BRANZ%20Aluband%20Window%20Flashing%20Tape%202019.pdf

Bunnings sell their tapes.

Otherwise perhaps a custom-made shaped copper flashing to match the outline shape of the window - maybe in conjunction with the wrap and using the tape as secondary protection. Either way I guess you’ll need to frame up an opening to receive the window in the normal way, just specially-shaped in this case.

Sometimes I just sit and think. Other times I just sit.
