I have an issue with my 19 year old 6 string acoustic electric.  Needs to go out of town for repair, top and bridge movement.  Also needs fret ends filed, etc.

Ibanez AEG10GB, not high quality, nice compact concert style with cutout, nice tone. Was purchased overseas.

Looking for a replacement guitar while this happens.  Anyone have a spare to sell? Anything considered.

DIY guitar kits look intriguing for a project, possibly over priced, poor quality components, hard to tell what you are buying, just finishing and assembly.  Anyone have experience, recommendations, links?

Anyone tried headless guitars?

Probably looking at basic luthier tools to do basic setup, maintenance.  Want to avoid getting in too deep into major repairs, due to materials and tools needed.

do you want Electric or acoustic gat ?

Artist guitars NZ have some very cheap options. Its NZ based , online seller  , but offer money back if not happy .
They are getting good reviews for the electrics (for what they are , budget models)
They sell kits, electric & acoustic

I bought a new Artist Strat type guitar for $209 . Good quality for the price , excellent finish on it , stays in tune , only complaint is the nut is a bit high (easy fix) .

Thanks some interesting Artist guitars.  There are plenty of cheap guitars out there, I may try and electric to bash on.

Talked to luthier at weekend, will repair and setup my guitar.

He suggested looking at Sigma.  I played a $550 Sigma acoustic verse a $5000 Martin, we both preferred the Sigma.

Played a LAG acoustic, great, but prefer a satin finish Sigma option, to ultra high gloss LAG.

Will be interesting when the LAG smart guitars are available here, but more expensive.

Guitar should be repaired this week.  So follow up questions.

Have acoustic electric and small Behringer acoustic 2 input amp.

Looked at Spark amp, Apps, interface, smart guitar, for some effects and looper.

Should I just add a multi effects pedal unit, Mooer Ge150/ 200/ 300 or other options?
