We have York heat pump HLKAO9FS-AAA Bought from was then Foodtown about 2006,  and the remote has stopped working.  tried new batteries will turn on & off but nothing else.
Any one know where I might find a replacement.  Tried using a Harmony remote to no avail.
The unit is not used much in our bedroom but wanted to use it on cool air not working.
Do I have to bite the bullet and replace as I think unit is about 15 years old!

You could try something like the Broadlink RM devices, but it will take time to get one and try it, or you could get a phone app and IR blaster if you can find the right codes. Plus that's a pretty old heat pump at 15 years, it's probably due replacement.

If it works (fingers crossed) you should be able to train your Harmony remote (depending on model) from it as a backup.

The remote arrived today from Hong Kong wouldn't work straight away juggled batteries, got the old one working and eventually the new one so I have 2 now!

Pretty impressed with the delivery 08 Jan, 2021 from E bay (Hong Kong)  a lot better than aliexpress lately.
