Hi.

We have in the past month suddenly noticed our tiles have become stained. Due to the pattern, it looks like it was wiped on, or sprayed on, but scrubbing hasn't removed it.

It looks like hard water stains, but I wanted to see if anyone else had different ideas, I don't want to clean with a material that might damage the tiles.

Get a tile grout cleaner from the hardware store, it's basically acid. Try it somewhere discrete first.

We use the below cleaner in our tiled walk in shower on floor and sides. Put 40ml of it in 800ml of water, spray, wait 5 minutes, scrub with cleaning pad then use hand shower rail to rinse with water and then looks clean afterwards.

I wonder if this might be a good time to try BarKeeper's Friend.  It's magic on my shower glass.  https://www.bkf.co.nz/

To me the grout lines where the white staining has occurred look cleaner than the grout at the top. Perhaps someone has tried a new cleaner with unexpected results.

A few years ago we got grout pro to put a seal over the top of the Grout, which prevented mould etc. I am wondering if our cleaner used a new cleaner and its spread the grout or the seal on top..

I would use half water half bleach a few drops of dish wash. Spray it on, leave for ten minutes or till you see colour change, brush with a long handled scrubber and rinse off. Make sure you do the entire wall and have plenty of ventilation.
