I've looked at a bunch of electric standing desks and I've yet to find one I'm happy with. Most of them have fairly sharp edges which can make regular use uncomfortable.

I used to have a home made wall mounted desk using a 600mm deep panel from Bunnings where I bullnosed the edges for a really comfortable finish.

My current plan is to get an electric standing desk mechanism and a custom 1500x750mm or 800mm deep panel on top but most panels out there stop at 600mm.

The lowest cost option I've seen so far is

For something a bit fancier Cypress Sawmill suggested

 - 1500x750x30  Macrocarpa

Any other  good options out there, or has anyone seen desk options where they've rounded off the edges of the desk?

Cheers

Little bit less DIY and a bit more on the price-y side, but I purchased one of these immediately after the end of the L4 lockdown last year and have pretty been happy with it WFH.

Bamboo top with edges all rounded off nicely and smooth to the touch, and a nice solid frame. The picture below should hopefully give you an idea It was also deeper than most other designs I found (800mm) too; my only regret was I wish I had gone for the 1800mm!

Customer service was good too for a seemingly small outfit.

Looks good. I can only fit a 1500mm unit here anyway. The edging doesn't look as rounded as I'd like, but looks a lot better than any others I've seen.

Which finish did you go for or is that photo from your unit?

That's my one; I went with the Mid-Brown bamboo and clear-coated steel finish.
