I'm after a laser line projector, but with parallel beams rather than a cross or 360 line. Ideally I'd be able to adjust the width of the parallel beams but that isn't critical. Don't need self levelling or anything similar.

Anyone aware of a better solution than just buying two and using them side by side?

Response depends on what/why you are doing or wishing to achieve - can you give us more info?

Sometimes I just sit and think. Other times I just sit.

Consistently aligning irregularly shaped objects. The immediate use case is with a CNC laser engraver - the shapes I'm working with have some internal straight lines, but nothing on the outside to line up against a fence or a mark. I'm making do for now with a single projected line but it would be easier with two that I knew were (reasonably) parallel.

Thinking about it, something that projected a box grid would potentially be even better.

A number of cheap laser pointers have twisty caps that have refracty/reflecty things in them that make patterns, including dot grids. LIke this -

Might be suitable depending on the precision you need.

Cheers, could be a good option. And cheap as chips so no real downsides to trying.

And super added bonus features too:

Shadow people are believed to be spirits with dense energy & can easily be detected with a laser grid! ... These laser grid pens are used by experienced paranormal investigators to detect Shadow People
