Is there any store that GZ recommends that does collect the old machine on delivery of the new one even for a fee. I am in the market to buy a new fridge and I know Noel Leeming does offer the service but unfortunately, they have a 3-week wait for the model I am after.

If your old fridge is still in decent quality, throw it up on TradeMe or Facebook for cheap, or if you have one local to you, call an op shop and they may be able to come and collect it.

It still works but for convenience, I was hoping to get both done on the same day. And afaik, Noel Leeming donates the working appliance anyways.

Thanks have asked them to confirm as well and I was told as long as it is been pre-arranged beforehand unlike Noel where it is specifically stated that they will take the old appliance for the $129 fee as normal delivery is $89 which they only drop the appliance by the door.

You left the most important bit of information out of your post... Where are you?

My local Newbold's took our dishwasher away.

(See how I left out my location?)

Newbold's Johnsonville collected our dishwasher when delivering a new one. They removed the old one and installed the new one.

This was arranged when we bought it, with an extra fee (something around $35 I think).

Move to New Zealand's best fibre broadband service (affiliate link). Free setup code: R587125ERQ6VE. Note that to use Quic Broadband you must be comfortable with configuring your own router.

Thanks have emailed them as their website says they ship NZ wide plus they carry the model I am after.

Isn't there a Newbold's in Auckland?

I think this kind of service is independent of shipping. They might contract local people to deliver and install appliances but shipping might be through freight companies that do not offer this service.

Since you're in Auckland, I'd try Lim Electronics. They're usually one of the better priced stores on PriceSpy and they will take away the old unit if you request it.

Doesn't look like it, Upper Hutt and Masterton only, according to their website.

100% on the other hand - the two nearest would be a shop in Greenlane or Manukau.

They just informed me that they only do this service WLG wide.

Ended up getting from Lim Electronics as they gave me the best price and did delivery and collection for an extra $90
