Zero electric skills. I want to check something is safe to use.

Got a set of plug in lights that say 220v. I thought New Zealand was 240v. Will they be ok to use?

All help appreciated

We’re 230v here, and both will have some tolerance. They should be fine to use.

I think NZ is 230V. 220V should be fine I'd have thought. If it has an NZ / AU style plug it's probably ok.

It shouldn't make a practical difference.

If it says 220v and its a crappy unregulated dropper for leds then it will probably have a shorter life on higher voltages.
