Hi.

Unfortunately, one of our children decided to take it upon themselves to do some art on our dining table and has put some stain marks on it.

Wondering what we do to remove said stain if even possible? I'd love to avoid having to sand and stain it, but that may be the only option.

Try putting some of the same ink?? on the underside of the table or another piece of Rimu and try removing it with alcohol or hydrogen peroxide and see if either removes the staining.

Could try oxalic acid. Be aware that you must not apply it beyond the stain though, as it will lighten the timber. i.e. you don't want to end up with a bright halo around the stain making it even more obvious.
