Hi all,

Planning to get another high wall heat pump installed in our house and was wondering whether anybody has had any experience with Reliance Home Ventilation Systems Limited? They offer quite attractive pricing for both Daikin and Mitsubishi Electric units, but their Google rating seems almost too good to be true.

Any input appreciated - as well as any other installer recommendations.

Based on the North Shore.

Yeah, reviews look to be inflated, but there seem to be at least a few reviews that are genuine and positive.

If you'd like another quote for comparison, I'd recommend Scott and the team at Habitat Heating. Haven't had a heat pump installed from them but that's their bread and butter, and I was very happy with the plumbing they did for me.

Just to close this off - they promptly visited on a Saturday to provide a quote and the installation was done on the following Thursday, so the turnaround was excellent, especially since other places quoted 3 to 4 weeks lead time.

As for the installation, there were a few shortcomings:
- The work area was not cleaned - inside there was GIB dust and outside there were brick remnants
- One of the outside fittings had cracked and just filled in with silicon
- The front panel of the indoor unit had been scratched

After making contact with them regarding the outdoor fitting and the front panel, they remediated both in a timely manner. The sales agent came across a lot less friendly when I made contact about the problems, but the installs manager who came to remedy the problems was a pleasure to deal with.

So overall they were pretty good/efficient, but perhaps a bit rough during the installation process.

The mark of a good company. Mistakes do happen, its how you fix them that matters.
