I went to the Lighting+ today as they had a 40% discount sale. One of the sales item was a twin LED downlights. Does anyone here have one at home? Where would you install them and are they better than have two single LED lights but at a distance apart?

You can tilt them in different directions so you can better control the light coverage.

We may be able to advise more if you posted a link or photo to the product that you are talking about.  "Twin LED downlights" doesn't really help as that could be lots of things.  Is it recessed, surface mounted, adjustable?  Are you talking about a single unit with 2 LED's out the same lens or different lenses?  It's all a bit vague at this point.

OK, I would say it depends on what you are trying to achieve.  If it's over a bench or in a bathroom for 'spot' lighting this would allow you to make minor adjustments to the light direction.  It you are just after a 'whole room' illumination I would be going for single units spaced further apart.  This looks to be potentially a narrow angle beam.
