Those of you with cover lifters, specifically

What have you used for the replacement foam on the 90" bends.

Mine has started to wear through and Alpine don't supply it as a spare, but apart of a new lifter (seems excessive for a friction part? Given its scratching 5 years and solid use, what have people used in similar situations?
