Hi there,

I have about half a roll of roofing underlay left over from a re-roof.
Are there any other uses for this? Is it worth keeping or should i just bin it?

Thanks in advance

If you can't find another use for it throw on FB marketplace as free to collect. Better that someone else gets use out of it than going to landfill.

I'm doing a small roofing job for my son that needs some underlay, if you are in Wellington or anywhere near Rangitikei and prepared to donate.

We can pick up.

If you're in North-ish Auckland I could probably use it for a small job I have to do.

Throw away otherwise useless building materials? Hand back your DIY license immediately!

You must hoard these until there is a variety of pests living within them then you can safely spend a fortune to have the disposed of by a pest control dude.

If the underlay is the heavyweight black type, loosely rolled it will turn into an ant farm. When it's time to evict them the local blackbirds will line up to help.

Sorry it ended up going to a friend. Couldn’t think of a use personally, but they had a small roofing job coming up so worked out in the end!
