The space will be between a new garage and an existing fence. It will get very little light (fence faces out west, garage side is east).

The existing plants need to go. I have had some very bad experiences being recommended plants thought that then fail to grow given poor lighting conditions.

Hopefully someone has some ideas? There will be irrigation.

Thanks!

Clivia and RengaRenga and Hen and Chick ferns can do well with poor light.  Won't be high though if that is a consideration.

Desired height and foliage density would help here, for example mahoe/whiteywood will grow in less-than-idea conditions like this and is relatively fast-growing but is also a tree not a bush, and drops lots of leaves.
