Got some furniture in desperate need to a good clean up and I'm wondering if anyone has used a professional service in Auckland recently.

Cast Iron table + 2 chairs loosing its paint and some good bits of rust that need sorting. Otherwise in excellent condition so I'd like to try and restore them properly.

The set looks very similar to the link below so I want to keep an eye on costs

Do you have an air compressor already? If so you can get an attachment for it fairly cheaply. Otherwise you can get a standalone unit for about $100, but considering a replacement set is $270 you might not want to spend that much.

Thanks for the tip, but sadly I don't have a suitable air compressor.

Interesting. Anyone have any experience with sand blasting? Is it expensive on media and how bad is the mess? Do you just blast away on your back lawn, or in a shed and vacuum up afterwards?
