I am replacing the battery of an Edge Garmin 520.

I am unable to determine how to get these two connectors to join, as much due to not being able to clearly see, and understanding how this connector interfaces.

I am worried I might (or may have already) break something in trying to 'push' the part that says 'push' on the black connector.

How did you get the old battery out while leaving the plug still in the board socket. The plastic marked Push should lift out leaving 4 contacts. The white plug then pushes down onto those contacts. There are YT videos showing the procedure.

That’s looks like it got “fried”?
bad luck. Gutted for you.

i guess your only options here are to remove that piece and replace it. Looks like a fairly standard connector.

how good is your soldering ?
