"Tesla has notified impacted customers through the Tesla app. Customers should confirm their Powerwall 2 system is online and check for a notification.

Tesla has proactively discharged all affected units in New Zealand, and locked them out, to mitigate overheating risk in the interim.

Tesla considers these discharged units do not pose a fire or overheating risk.

Tesla will be replacing affected units at no cost. Tesla or a third-party service provider will contact customers with affected units to schedule replacement."

Good source of info is the NZ Aussie FB Group https://www.facebook.com/groups/2411227932430251

There is one bad batch, and most NZ ones were not affected. They did a test of NZ ones as noted above. I'm just waiting on the 30% warranty claim as I inch closer and closer.
