Does anyone know if these sockets are legal in New Zealand ?

AliExpress are selling power strips with these connector layouts.

The only plug that goes into those with any type of purchase is the UK one. I have a 12v inverter with that socket and I keep it stored with a UK to NZ adaptor, because it is the only way to plug into it with any modicum of safety.

I have bought a few of them in both 19" rack form, and also some 4 outlet ones that just live on the end of a cable to use with all the stuff I have bought that comes with US/EU type plugs. The US work ok, but the EU ones flop around and are hopeless, and AU/NZ style ones do not fit very well and I don't think the earth connects that well if that matters for your things.

Not legal to sell and no one will test and tag them to be usable in a workplace (well someone might but they shouldn't)

No.  It's possible to plug in half of the plug with one, exposing the other end to 230v.

I can also tell by the font used in that picture that it's bad Chinesium

Seriously, stay away from AliExpress for anything that involves Mains Electricity, if it burns your house down you will have no insurance

I agree. I'll chance AliExpress for something that runs off USB or DC Adapter but no way would I buy anything that runs off 240V mains.

Short answer No, not legal,

Too much pin exposure to start with, and I suspect it goes downhill from there,,,,

Mate of mine brought a 240v to 12v adapter and came home to melted and it smoldering , not worth the risk

One of my friends got a LED light set that came with a "12V 5A" adapter and it was cooking up when taking only 22w from the wall running the supplied 5m strip that was very dim compared to any normal strip. Get a Meanwell or APD from a legit site only for power adapters.
