Sorry to create a new post but really need help from the great minds on here regarding the dilemma with the guest toilet as ben designed below. Im not keen for guests to walk through the kitchen to use the w/c, but my proposed idea was dismissed. Not keen to swap with office as hat would mean toilet is next to entrance where guests are...

Proposed:

My suggestion (albeit the 1st door is a bit too small depth)

If anyone can think of an alternative without increasing sqm would be greatly appreciated. thanks

Also slight change of topic (2 birds 1 stone?)  Do you think the below is a good idea, an alcove (2 built walls) in the middle to hide a a network cabinet (got for free) for all the a/v equipment. Not to scale but hopefully you can see what I mean. I dont think it can go anywhere else in the room.

I put arrows where the speakers will approx be (circles for atmos, and plan on running speaker cable behind screen for acoustic transparent screen one day)

Appreciate your thoughts and any input. Many thanks

" Im not keen for guests to walk through the kitchen to use the w/c"

How about having them go through the office?,

Both are likely quite mutually exclusive (you're unlikely to the working in the office when you have guests in the main room)...

Flip the desk side of the office to the "top" move the door down  so its like your original proposal and have an cavity  slider between the office and the toilet... ??

Its not ideal but it gets you out of a bit of a hole...

Thanks for the quick reply, that is a good idea and makes sense. Unfortunately I dont think it will pass the WAF factor though. But I think adjusting the office might be the compromise.

Ive just tried this which isnt great as appears to waste space and lose fair amount of office, but I think is a better w/c entrance.
