I'm doing a full reclad of my house. Currently looking into Abodo and Accoya modified timber cladding (as opposed to H3 pine for longevity and stability) but would like to hear suggestions for other timber options. Preferably ones that don't need to be painted. Stains are fine and doable for me maintenance wise but sanding and painting is a no go. All advice appreciated.

Have a look at Weathertex.  It is a wood based product and very stable.  Several profiles available, my preference is the textured 'Ruff Sawn' mounted vertically but it depends what look you are going for. The textured boards are far more forgiving for hiding fixtures and joins so easier to install but again it depends what finish you want.

Weathertex does have a 'natural' option which looks great out of the box but weathers to a weird yellow (based on a couple of examples I've looked at in ChCh) so you really do need to keep it stained.

I note you don't like painting but painting once every 10 years beats staining every year in my book.

If you want durable timber, that only needs to be stained, I'd suggest cedar. Or ... friends clad their house in some sort of kiln treated Japanese larch. It's absolutely stunning and expected to last long as treated timber boards.

I've had a look at cedar and it's really expensive. Abodo quoted me $17 plm for their standard 135mm Vulcan cladding and $24 for architectural Vulcan cladding. I could probably go for something closer to $30 plm but that's about as much as I can spend.
