So first,  any fixed work for a residential dwelling will be completed or signed off by a registered gasfitter, I am not trying to kill my family :)

Second - "why not ask the builder or gasfitter?"  <-- I will, but am seeking knowledge from more than one source so as to be informed and know what is reasonable and expected. Due diligence in other words. I know a lot about a lot of things, but not this topic so am seeking education :-)

We have a new off grid cabin, and it will have twin 75kg gas bottles feeding an instant gas califont - pretty standard from what i know but new to me.  We asked the builder to add an outlet on the deck for a BBQ.

Questions -

1) it seems the standard outlet will be a bayonet type, is that expected? I see many options for hoses from that to a BBQ 5/8' or whatever other inlets. This doesn't seem to be a big deal, am I missing anything? Considering we asked for a "BBQ connection" on the deck and they said ok a bayonet type it seems fine....are there gotchas ?

2) As well as the BBQ it might be nice to have a normal 4 burner gas cooktop built in to an outdoor kitchen - why would that be any different to a BBQ?  I know from research that natural gas and LPG need different jets and things, for example this Bunnings cooktop and others like it come with parts to swap out.

3) is there basically "high pressure" i.e. the bottles, and then "low pressure" which seems like 2.75kPa keeps coming up, which all the BBqs and califonts and things will take?

I think my real question comes down to - is it basically standarised to the point that "a BBQ outlet" on the deck means I'm overthinking and with the right physical adaptors the cooktop and BBQ will be fine?

I am trying to know what I don't know, for example even with the right pressure could it be that the BBW feed takes away flow volume from the califont or that we have to use one or the other or something?
