We have a mitsubishi heatpump and I noticed when cleaning it that the anti allergy filter has gone from blue to virtually white.

It says on the mitsubishi website that you're meant to replace them every year - but they cost $50 plus delivery from the mitsubishi site.

Are they worth replacing?

No I don't but we have a 1 year old toddler + another one on the way very soon so I was thinking about whether they may have something that we don't know about.

Someone mentioned that the allergy / anti-enzyme filters are posionous (Which I thought seemed a bit far fetched)

If you don't have allergies & nobody else in your household has allergies that you know of & you have the option to just replace them later, then I think your decision is easy...
