Does anybody have any idea's? I have tried running a hose under high pressure and i have used a few rags to replicate a plunger motion, no go.

I was contemplating buying no8 wire and putting it down there while using the hose as  pressure.

Note i was going to contact the council though i have found out it was created by the previous home-owner when they subdivided the land.

If it's that bad you might need to get a plumber in to run a snake down it.

You can hire drain snakes.... but frankly, it's more cost effective to just get a drainlayer to do it, by the time you hire the snake, pick it up, get yourself dirty and smelly using it, clean it off, pack it up, take it back to the hire place, and then ring a drainlayer anyway because you still couldn't get it unblocked.

Maybe go to Council, get the as-built, and see if there are any cleaning eyes you can locate. They give you access to the drain further down the line.

Not always cost effective, we had a blocked drain, which a plumber used a snake to try and clear, but that failed, then they got in the camera guys and found that the drain (old clay type) had cracked in two places, and where it is, they couldn't get a digger into to dig, so many hours later, hole was dug, drain was fixed and then the bill came. $1600.

How is that not more cost effective then hiring a drain snake yourself and then having to do the rest?

I could have done it for way less than $1600
