After playing with  NZ Netflix and being a bit disappointed about the NZ content  but not having enough time to setup a trial of a VPN service I wanted to wat a movie called The machine, a UK SiFi movie .  The only NZ site that had it was Google Play movies.  I found the movie, Clicked rent HD version  for $799, entered my Google password but then get "Error: Error retrieving information from server. [RPC:S-7:AEC-0]"   tried this on my Nexus 4 and tablet  with the same result.  Did a check on line and find it's a common problem.  Tried all the  suggestions in the Google help forum but no joy. Forum fix suggestion

A
nyone else have this problem??   Just to check it wasn't my account  or credit card I bought a 99 cent app with no problem..

OK.  Eventually found the answer to this.  In my Google wallet the default address was Youshop rather than my NZ one..  Change to NZ and it works..  Why could they just say that rather than a cryptic error message with no answer to..

Badly written software. Seems that displaying intelligent error messages has become a lost art...
