Disney Plus has just stopped working on mobile apps - Android & iOS. Still works fine on the Smart TV. Any Ideas?

Are you using your ISP's DNS servers or a third party? The smart TV may be using "baked-in" DNS

Can you access from a PC on the same network?

Thanks Clint,

It’s the same on Apple TV, Mac, and windows machines. Looks like you’ve identified the problem. Any ideas about the solution?

Cheers,
Charlie

Sorry, Clint. I didn’t answer your first question . I must be using the Internet providers DNS, router is ‘out of the box’. Sorry, I’m not tech savy enough to know much more.

Cheers
Charlie

I had a similar issue on my iPhone where the phone would not play any DRM content, Disney plus or the TV app, it was fixed with a restart of the phone.

The OP already mentioned it's all machines:

CeeGee:

It’s the same on Apple TV, Mac, and windows machines.

@CeeGee please restart the router and all your devices. Then try again.

Runs ok on my phone from my work network.

logged out of Disney + on all devices, shut them all down. Restarted router, restarted phone & logged in but didn’t make any progress. Deleted and reinstalled app on phone, still no joy

It occurs to me that this issue started on Sunday after daylight saving started. Any connection?

Does the app throw any errors/codes when opening the app or trying to play anything?

"Service Unavailable   Disney + is not available at your location."

No error codes

I've found I can log in & start movies etc using mobile data, then turn wireless back on & it still works OK.
