No, that's not practical to do when the quote could be from several pages back. Perhaps just double check when quoting that you haven't deleted the username.

 

 

Can’t be bothered. You’ll just have to cope or preferably just ignore me.

Thanks very much for your concern johno1234, but don't know why you keep thinking I'm not coping. I was simply pointing out you were deleting usernames when quoting.

 

Interesting update regarding bitrate though. Again, using the Apple TV client, it seems different shows are streaming with different bitrates, which suggests a server side issue not having higher bitrate streams available. Weird.

 

Jumping between 2 different shows, 1 is sitting just below 4 Mb/s so probably correlates with

We noticed that subtitle options no longer survive between episodes, and it turns itself off.

 

No big deal but sometimes subtitles are a good idea (think badly mixed sound with hard to hear dialogues).

Totally opposite to the problem I had with the ATV app BEFORE the update- kept defaulting to subtitles on. Most annoying.

 

Fixing that is about the only good thing I can say about the new one.

And, echoing what others mentioned, it seems the watched status was migrated some time ago. Looking at some series we have been watching, it seems the status of the episodes went back to unwatched up to a month or so ago.

That subtitles weirdness is exactly the same on Apple TV.

 

The small subtitles icon, at the right-hand end of the progress/scrub bar, appears briefly at the beginning then disappears before it can be used.

 

But even if it stayed visible, you wouldn’t be able to use it anyway because the normal way of accessing it (pressing ‘up’ on the circular buttons) now doesn’t work on live TV in the new app on ATV.

But it has not really been fixed. Yes, on ATV we no longer have to put up with subtitles when we don't want them - but now we can't get subtitles when we do want them.

I might be in a minority here but I have a Google Chromecast with Google TV that I bought from the US. But it's sold here. Can't remember now why, but my US based Play Store account did show the TVNZ+ app so I had to download it from Matt Huisman's site. That worked and has been okay. Now when I logon I get an app update notice, click update but the Play Store says the app is not available in my region. My CCvGTV is also set to the US Play Store.

 

So I went back to Matt's site and got the latest apk an tried to download it. I get installation failed with no error messages. This is version 8.0.36.zip

 

Just wondering if there are folks out there who bought the CCwGTV locally and are accessing TVNZ+ okay?

All working here fine on a locally bought one as well as a google streamer.  Didnt try it on my firestick though.  Are you meaning from the play store though?  Or Matts version?  I use the play store one for the record.  Havent used the edited one for a while

OK sorted it out. Added a new account to my CCwGTV and it automatically set my region to NZ so I could download the app. Then when I switched back to my US profile, the app was still there and worked fine.

I tried the app today on my Apple TV and I couldn't even get the subtitles to turn on. The button to activate the subtitles was available.

I've had zero issue with TVNZ+ on my Apple TV. 

 

 

 

Until last night. 

 

Now I have no watchlist, no "continue watching" and it invariably just stops working for long periods and needs to be closed out of and swiped up to dismiss.

Not to gloat (and hopefully not going to end up cursing myself), but on Google TV streamer have had no problems once we logged back in.  Skimming through this thread and my partner's experience with Ipad seems to indicate the majority of the problems are Apple based?
