Kim587: I find putting the cursor down in the bottom left corner gets rid of the ribbon at the bottom.

I'm sure I tried that and a host of Esc keys, right clicking all over the screen etc. Only way I was able to get rid of it for sure was to close it down and open the same game in a new window. I was using IE on my kid's laptop. I can't recall when I was testing this before on my gaming PC using Firefox whether I had the same problem then. Will trial again when I get home.

Dororke: Save for not being able to get rid of the ribbon at the top of the screen (anyone know how to get rid of it?), the feed was very good.

When you have the bottom popup banner there is a button labelled "Games" click on that to remove the top banner.

Having had issues(with ipad mini) on the first weekend regarding signing up, I signed up on the 2nd weekend(on my laptop) for the 150$ package.

I watched the pool game v the villa on the sunday morning around 8am on demand
ISP: Orcon
BB Technology: think its ADSL. how can you tell this?
Viewing method: my laptop.
browser: firefox

I was overall happy with the quality/experience. But i do not have a HDTV in the house so my standard might not be that high.

hope to hook it up to my projector for the odd occasion. I have already tried this with the sample that is there and it looks okay for m.

I'd like at this point to mention all this talk of PLP being good for those who support "lower" or "lesser" teams.

Could I point your attention to the league table for a moment?

Moving right along.

I sat and watched the Saints game yesterday morning at approximately 7.30am on my iMac.
Slingshot ADSL
Average Speedtest result is around 10MBPS
Played the game at the highest setting (3000kb?)

Was far better than iSky, but not quite as good as SD Sky used to be.
Later in the day, I streamed part of another game via Airplay Mirroring through my Apple TV - got a lot of judder on the telly at that point.

I'm thinking the Wifi connection between iMac and ATV is struggling due to too many devices operating in the house, but other than that, picture was clear (and the picture on the iMac that was mirroring to the ATV was judder-free and decent quality), so that is how i come to the conclusion that the judder on the telly is due to an internal issue.

Still can't pick out each blade of grass at high speed, but then I am not watching the grass - I am watching the game - and I don't need HD to see each bead of sweat and blade of grass for that.

And it wasn't even bad. We got highlights and interviews from the 2 games of the previous week (Villa and Fenerbahce), a bit of footage of the members day, a piece about a former player and Wenger's full 20 minute pre-match press conference. Much better than last week when there was no pre-match stuff and just some pre-season stuff we'd already seen either online or on the previous Arsenal TV screening. Just a shame we haven't had post match interviews or Wenger's post-match press conferences yet.

ISP = Snap
Technology = VDSL (currently in training at 30/10 with 400GB Cap)
Home connectivity = 1 Gbps Cat 6e wired ethernet to both machines.
MAchines tested = Office PC (Intel core i5 AMD 5770 HD 8GB Ram) on Samsung 24" monitor & HTPC Lounge (Intel Core 2 Duo 4gb AMD 6570 HD) on 51" Samsung Plasma TV.
Live / On demand = On demand
time of day = 6.30am this morning and about 9am sunday.

Both PCs play 1080i content back flawlessly from Sky HD feeds, but there is a noticable stutter to the PLP feeds. Not as bad as Al Jazeera, but I can see it and it bugs me.

Did anyone try the android app this morning for Spurs? I couldn't get it to work one bit just kept timing out the video but the saturday games played fine.... Also, why the 1600Kbps max speed? I'm on a home connection yet I can't get a higher bitrate?

Interesting about the android app. I only have ios devices so I'm still waiting to test an app out. Sone people have said they can get 3000kbps on the app and some people only 1600. Is it possible that the tablet version can get 3000 but the phone version is limited to 1600?

Mine is a Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 so is a tablet yet the maximum selectable rate at any time is 1600 kbps.
