Want 50 movies for $1 each? Well, read on:

PARAMOUNT 50-MOVIE COLLECTION [$49.99]

Many of these titles have been upgraded to 4K.

48 Hours / Airplane! / An Officer and a Gentleman / Anchorman / Beverly Hills Cop / Blue Hawaii / Chinatown / Cloverfield / Clueless / Escape From Alcatraz / Ferris Bueller's Day Off / Footloose (1984) / Forrest Gump / The Greatest Show on Earth / Harold and Maude / Invasion of the Body Snatchers / Marathon Man / Mission Impossible / Planes, Trains and Automobiles / Roman Holiday / Rosemary's Baby / Stalag 17 / Sunset Boulevard / The First Wives Club / The Italian Job (1969) / The Lovely Bones / The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance / The Nutty Professor (1963) / The Ten Commandments / The Truman Show / The Untouchables / The War of the Worlds (1953) / The Warriors / To Catch a Thief / Top Gun / Transformers / Up in Smoke / Wayne's World / Wings / Castaway / Clue / Napoleon Dynamite / Meet the Parents / School of Rock / The Usual Suspects / Watchmen / Zulu / A Quiet Place / The Hunt for Red October / Zoolander.

Does this mean you buy them and can keep forever or are they just to watch over a certain timeframe?  Also, if I buy and can keep, can I download on to iPad and then share to a different device like a win laptop or email one? Never thought about buying movies before but some of these classics nice for the grandkid to watch.

Yes, they are yours to keep once you have purchased them. This price is only available for a limited time, so don't wait too long. It will most likely return to $99.99 when the promotion ends.

You need to download the Apple TV app from the App Store to your iPad. Purchase the Paramount Collection for $49.99. (you can register a credit or debit card) or buy an iTunes gift card from any supermarket or book store. There are different denominations for the gift cards, $5, $10, $20, $30, $50 or $100

Then the films will appear in your library within the Apple TV app and you can watch them on your iPad or download to your iPad for offline viewing. Downloads are always HD, not 4K. Its an agreement between Apple and the various studios. But the films encoded in 4K will play back in 4K if you stream to a 4K capable device.

I haven't tried sharing to other devices, so hopefully someone else can help you out with that, but you could download the Apple TV app to whatever device that you want to watch on. I have the app on my iPhone, iPad, Apple TV 4K media player, my PC and my Sony smart TV. I just log in and everything is available to watch. I have 562 movies in my library... and counting 😁

Thanks @Movieman for the comprehensive answer. Will definitely buy, especially since I can add to the PC as well. Kids seem to only watch latest films and they miss out on so much. That’s a pretty neat collection and look forward to another lot of 50.

Looks like the beginning of a new hobby.

Bought them and found 50 of them in the App under Movies, but under Recent Purchases in the same App it only shows 24 movies. Should I be concerned?

Not sure about the recent purchases only showing 24. Just checked on my iPhone and I only have 25 titles in my recent purchases.

Don't worry, as long as they are in your Movies folder you are good to go.

Managed to share some with family for offline viewing. Took a while to figure out why I couldn’t share but then realised both parties need to have a means of payment authorised in Apple, not Wallet.

Not holding my breathe attempting this on a Samsung tablet but stubbornness may prevail.

Just realised I can gift as well. Have mainly ignored Apple+ thinking it was just a subscription service so thanks for explaining otherwise.

I don't know if it was ever available to us. It certainly isn't now

When five friends inadvertently cause a deadly car accident, they cover up their involvement and make a pact to keep it a secret rather than face the consequences. A year later, their past comes back to haunt them and they're forced to confront a horrifying truth: someone knows what they did last summer... and is hell-bent on revenge. As one by one the friends are stalked by a killer, they discover this has happened before, and they turn to two survivors of the legendary Southport Massacre of 1997 for help.

Browsing through the upcoming new releases, and there doesn't seem to be much to enthuse about as we move into the fourth quarter of 2025.

There are just three films that take my fancy. The first one is Nobody 2, in which Bob Odenkirk reprises his role as Hutch Mansell, a former lethal assassin. I enjoyed the original 2021 film, which was a surprise hit with audiences. Nobody 2 has already been released on digital in other parts of the world, but its still showing in cinemas in NZ.

The second film is the remake of the Leslie Neilsen classic; The Naked Gun. This time the lead role goes to Liam Neeson. Pamela Anderson co-stars.

Finally, Weapons will appeal to horror fans, with Josh Brolin and Julia Garner co-starring.

And that's it. Time to catch up on your watchlists.

Stu1:

Going to watch them tonight , looking for a Bourne identity deal now

Maybe you will be interested in these. Listed yesterday (Sep. 2)

THE COMPLETE BOURNE 4-MOVIE COLLECTION [$29.96]

THE ULTIMATE BOURNE 5-MOVIE COLLECTION [$44.95]

You could buy the 4-Movie Collection now, and wait for the fifth film to drop from its present price of $14.99.

Having said that; I can't find the 4-Movie Collection tn the NZ Apple Store. Its advertised on Cheap Charts, which seems to have become unreliable for NZ releases.
