No playback issues on Sky Pod but the continue watching issue is annoying. Only lists things we finished a long time ago and the only thing we're currently regularly watching won't add to the list, even after watching the latest episode. So we have to search for it and find the next episode each time.

Painful trying to watch a programme on my Panasonic TV tonight (TH-48JZ1000Z, 2021) - audio sync issues and picture dropouts (black screen intermittently and at one stage a genuine "test pattern" appeared - bizarre).

Interestingly it's now been 2 weeks and the Apple TV app has still not been updated once. It's now dropped off being the number 1 free app on Apple TV - no guesses why!

I find One News on  TVNZ+ cuts short halfway through the weather report.
(misses the long forecast)

I used my TVNZ Apple TV app for the first time in weeks (before the upgrade), and was expecting a myriad of issues, but went entirely perfectly, email - code - logged in...

That's probably one of the reasons you aren't noticing the issues - all the watchlist data seems to be stuck on time from several weeks ago, so probably looks normal for you.

Interested to know whether you used it to watch live TV on ‘Channels’? Did the remote ‘back’ button work - i.e. when watching live TV, could you go back to the home screen and then select and watch an on-demand show?

Sometimes I just sit and think. Other times I just sit.

The Fire TV app still takes about a minute to start. It shows the blue background, and nothing happens until it shows the profile selection.

Apple TV does the same thing sometimes - will stop on blue screen or TVNZ logo when opening. Wonder if it's stuck looking for something it can't access server side?

The app's channels menu on my Panasonic lets me button down on a couple of channels but it quits before I can get down to Duke.  The other night we managed to be able to sit down as a family to watch a movie, yet the app's constant lockups ruined that.

Initially just now when trying again, TV1 loaded at what looked like reasonable quality, but then after it kept playing up it looks like junk

You're not on Atlantis anymore, Duncan Idaho.

Yes, ever since the change, they have stuffed up the programme length too.  The 6pm news has been like this since.  Have also noticed it with Q&A (those are the only 2 progs I've streamed so far).

We watch One News live.

But we always stream Q&A and have found TVNZ cuts off Q&A in the final few minutes. Very annoying. I just say to myself, how hard can it be to allow users to fully stream the full episode.

Apple TV app 7.0.2 is released.

Minor improvements only. App doesn't lock up when you select a live channel now - you can select another channel or return to the home screen without a crash but when you change channels, the new channel only has audio, no video. This is just garbage. It doesn't seem as if even rudimentary testing is being done.

Recently watched stuff is still completely broken. Just watched an episode of a show, and where it wants to resume is a different episode in a previous season.

Picture quality is still dreadful on some shows. Watched an episode of From and the average bitrate is still under 1Mb/s. This is a show that's only released in the last couple of weeks - I don't believe the original recording is that poor.
