fyscdaniel:
schmichael: I received an email a few weeks back from them saying;

"Hyundai have sent us your details advising you recently completed a test drive with them, which entitles you to a free season subscription to PremierLeaguePass."

I was not intending on subscribing this year unless they updated their Samsung TV app to allow my 2011 Smart TV to use it. I really hope they do, otherwise I'll probably revert to watching the games on Sky, delayed.

i would want to test drive a Hyundai by tomorrow then!!

I would to like to know if this is true as well. If so, I'll be visiting a dealer real soon!

It's true. I test drove a car in order to enter a Wellington Phoenix comp a couple of months ago. I didn't win that but got this out of the blue.

Does Coliseum still have the rights for 2014/15 season? Or do they have to enter a new bid?

They've got the rights for both the 2014/15 and 2015/16 season. All foreign rights-holders signed three-season deals, I believe.

Coliseum Sports Media and Television New Zealand (TVNZ) have acquired the broadcast rights to the Premier League from 2013/14 to 2015/16 in New Zealand.

The Premier League is pleased to announce that MP & Silva has been awarded the live audio visual broadcast rights for all 380 Barclays Premier League matches per season for seasons 2013/14 – 2015/16 in three separate broadcast territories in the Asia and Australasia region. They are: Indonesia, New Zealand, and 15 Pacific Islands.

Thanks, very well referenced answer.
Hope their prices stay the same.
The platinum pass was worth it last year.

new pricing apparently. doing away with the 2 tier pricing with just one price of $199 (instead of 150 and 240) that will get you access to everything that the $240 had last season. special price for returning users of $150 too.

Any news on the 2012 / 13 Samsung Smart TVs?  Tried emailing them but haven't had a reply.  They really need to offer a per team price rather than a whole lot price... $17 per month for one team is excessive considering Sky Sports is $25 a month for everything (remember this is my personal opinion as I will always have Sky or some other PPV TV service as regular TV is just crap).

I think it is marvellous value as we have 2 teams in our house and I often watch other games too. My Dad in the Uk would love to pay 70 quid for every single EPL game! The only issue is the quality of picture really. I always notice that my husbands Man U games are much better than my Palace games...must be caching...not many Palace fans watching the game before me!

I can't see it in my app list, I suspect we'll never get it :(

Well that sucks.  A smart TV app I could deal with but via a webpage, not being able to pause or rewind is crap.  I may have a mediapc but a web browser on my tv is so small that the buttons are hard to press from the sofa... While I still applaud (and get annoyed with) Colliseum for this move, they've basically alienated me from the service by poor quality and crap controls and also the price :-(
