Today (March 19th) sees the NZ theatrical release of the much hyped Sci-Fi movie; Project Hail Mary starring Ryan Gosling. Reviewers are saying that the film is actually better than the book written by Andy Weir. Gosling's performance also being hyped as Oscar worthy, even at this early stage of 2026. Expect the Apple Store to get the digital version in a couple of months or so.
Also released in NZ cinemas today is Ready or Not 2: Here I Come. If you saw the first movie (Ready or Not), you will know what to expect... comedic blood and gore galore 😁. I watched the first movie not knowing anything about it and I had a great time with it. Again, if you are averse to lots of blood and gore, you may be best advised to give it a miss. But, if you don't mind the comical graphic violence; you should have a great time. Another reason to watch it is for the performance of the underrated, but awesome Australian actress Samara Weaving. Once again, expect the Apple Store to get the digital version in a couple of months or so.
