Hi Movieman,

I finally got an Oled Tv (LG C1) and I watch movies using the apps on the TV (appletv/Netflix/Plex) and I was wondering if the image/audio quality is better from an AppleTV streamer or PC like a NUC?

Is there a noticeable difference between AppleTV box/PC connected to TV/Smart TV apps.

Cheers.

Firstly, congrats on entering the world of OLED TV's. Hopefully you will have a decent run out of it.

I have always streamed apps from my Apple TV 4K, I have never used a PC to do it, and as your TV is a few years old now, its possible that some of your apps are not being supported by LG.

I had a friend with an LG LCD TV that wasn't supported when TVNZ+ updated their app a few years ago. He took my advice and got an Apple TV 4K to stream his apps from, and he is still using the TV today and streaming Netflix, TVNZ+ etc. from it.

A fourth generation Apple TV 4K is expected to arrive this year, so if you decide to get one, it may be advisable to wait for the new model.

Sorry I couldn't help you more.

The Arrival (1996, Sci-Fi/Mystery/Thriller, 115 mins. R15) has been upgraded to Dolby Vision.

Cheap Charts have the Australian Store also upgrading Kill Bill: Volume 2 (2004) and Notting Hill (1999), but they haven't been upgraded in the NZ Store... yet.

As a big fan of Clint Eastwood Westerns, this bundle is a great buy, and both films have been recently upgraded to Dolby Vision-Atmos.

The Divergent Series is also a good buy. Three films for $9.99, The first film has Dolby Vision, while the second and third film have Dolby Vision-Atmos.
