Yes I'd like to know this also - there has been a lot of talk about the impending app on the Samsung TV - I can't get it as my TV is a 2012 model. I'm okay with that at the moment as I have my TV set to UK to watch BBC/ITV etc - but it's a pain to either move my PC from room to room or bring my laptop home from work.
Judder for me in the Man Utd game, but when I tried to watch any other game around 6/7 am, it buffered for a second then said this match has ended. I couldn't watch the highlights of the Utd game (fell asleep during it) as it continually buffered, but no buffering on the game itself.
There was an issue with Samsung's Smart TV app as they switched the games over from LIVE to On-Demand. The issue has been raised and is being corrected.

Unfortunately I'm out again at the moment. Until they release a 2012 app as was stated, I am not going to try and user a browser to watch games as I've found judder on all I use (across multiple devices), no easy control for pause / rewind etc. from a remote control and the whole process overall is unfriendly. Shame really, I guess I was spoilt by the ease of satellite broadcasting. This is I am sure a great product for those that are used to illegal streams at tiny resolution on a PC screen but still a step backwards from the 9mbps DVB-S2 streams I was used to. Shame really, will watch my games on delayed coverage.

Similarly, I have an LG TV, windows laptop and windows phone so no apps are available to me. I'm hanging out for a playstation app. Are discussions on that any further along samsmith?
I tried out Quickflix for the first time in the weekend through the PS4 app and it was perfect. Would love to be able to use PLP this way.
Kopkiwi: Found the feed to be choppy as feck and even on the 4500 stream it certainly wasn't a clear picture.
Would upgrading from an i3 to an i5 intel improve experience at all?
nope not at all, the i3 internal GPU is perfectly fine with HD h.264 and other types of video encoding without breaking a sweat. Was probably the stream provided that was the issue.
Just to add to my comment earlier about the v good picture quality, I had the ethernet cable plugged into the laptop, which may have helped. Also I was watching about 15 minutes delayed (due to the AB's test), although I did catch up to the live stream with about 20 minutes to go and there was no discernible difference in quality.
I suspect the cached games will have no issues and seeing as I used to record the games on MySky and watch at a reasonable hour I think that PLP should work fine for me if used in the same way.
I decided to stump up for a subscription today anyway and hopefully I won't be disappointed.
I was a subscriber last year but haven't received any email to offer any discount. I've just tried to sign up again using my existing account but it wants to charge me $199.
Did I read somewhere it's $149 for re-subscribers and if so how do I go about getting it at that price ?

It's all the games. I have tried the man u game again just now and it is better but certainly no where near being fluid motion.
No offense mate but Imo it was blatantly obvious Samsung was the only option. Most pages in this thread are talking about it.
Ive veen critical of them previously but I watched the United Swansea game about 15 minutes delayed and the quality was mint. I do miss Sky's coverage but PLP is my only real option now and based on my free trial last night I'm really tempted to subscribe. It does suck on the laptop but it's better than nothing and not dodgy and filled with ads like the illegal streams.
Yeah, except I only just joined. It's blatantly obvious if you've been part of this discussion for a year. But I haven't. And I did ask them, and they didn't mention exclusivity given to Samsung. I maintain I was misled by what the told me on Twitter, and it'll be up to the referee to decide if they did enough to notify the consumer of the exclusive nature of not just the Samsung app, but all apps. :)
Gamepass has apps on XBMC and Plex. It's not that people won't develop them for PLP, because God knows there's enough people in other countries signing up to it too. It's just that PLP won't let anyone.
On the PLP bible or whatever it is called, in the back FAQ's it states apps available for ios, SAMSUNG SMARTPHONES and SAMSUNG TV's. But I agree, it is not on the main website last time I checked and on twitter they seem to be giving out APK information for others to use.
I watched just about all of the Chelsea vs Burnley game this morning using PLP. The first half on my mobile phone (HTC with APK installed manually), which was actually a pretty good experience over all, and the second half on my laptop at work. The laptop is a 15" Retina MacBook running OSX 10.9.4, Firefox 31.0, and Flash 14.0.0.176 with hardware acceleration disabled.
The stream resolution on the laptop was definitely watchable – much better than my experiences in Webkit browsers (Chrome, Safari, and Opera) which looks like 8bit football, but there was a lot of 'judder' in the feed. The feed was also delayed for what felt like 30 seconds and an app on my phone was receiving push notifications for goals almost 20 seconds before I could actually watch them, when watching other streams they usually arrive 10 seconds after I've seen the goal. This is a bit of a spoiler, but also means I don't miss any goals if I have PLP running in the background at the time as I know I need to pay attention. The sound was quiet in the PLP feed too, which bugged me a bit.
My biggest issue is the judder. Free streams don't suffer from the same issue, but their feed resolution is lower so its a bit of a trade-off that I'll have to think about. Has anyone had any luck running the mobile app at a higher resolution on a device connected directly to their TV, such as ChromeTV or an Android HTPC style box?
So, pretty much if I (or they) can solve or get around the judder issues I'm happy to sign up.
