Benoire: Yeah I believe it is given the PLP support resonse posted above... so at the moment we have dodgy browser playback depending on what you have installed, dodgy TV playback and real limitations over when you can access the on demand side of it. I presume the Samsung android app is ok? No issues there? And finally Apple TV / iPAD appears to be perfect... Anything else I've missed?

iPad not perfect but no buffering, occasional degradation of quality when bandwidth struggles but only last a few seconds. It's personal, but for me that is worth $149 a year until something else comes along.

Must be the TV app only with the significant delay. I watched Man Utd v Sunderland this morning at 6am (3 hours delayed) laying in bed with the tablet (Samsung Note 8). Picture quality was very good, no jittering, however I watched Arsenal v Everton on Sunday morning on the laptop and the jittering was very noticeable, in fact it gave me a headache.

Yesterday afternoon I watched the Denver Broncos v Houston Texans live with Gamepass via my Roku 3 on a 50" plasma and the quality was significantly better than PLP. No jittering, no buffering during the entire 3 hour game. Seriously impressive.

PLP have a long way to go but I think it's good. I've really enjoyed seeing recaps of all the games and the preview/review shows, Top 5 goals of the week etc...

Agreed - The iPad via Apple TV is not perfect but it is acceptable. There is still a perceptible amount of 'judder' which is noticeable, particularly on long balls or fast moving action, and the quality is still sub-HD quality. Watching the World Cup in HD over summer was a delight, but the PLP service has the potential to make my eyes 'ache' on occasion.

Overall, the chance to see my team play every week within hours of the game being played at my convenience from the sofa is enough to justify the $149. Being able to watch all the other games is a bonus too.....

This is exactly my thoughts too. I can watch on my iPad Air and it's pretty much flawless, but on the 42" via the same iPad to the Apple TV, the picture is good without being great. Great clarity on closeup shots, but undoubtedly it loses some crispness on wide angle shots, and you do see that slight judder occurring.

I noticed the ease of MySky last week when Spurs played West Ham on TVONE live. I taped it, got up, pushed two buttons on my Sky remote and was watching the game in HD, with the ability to fast-forward a times (delays, halftime etc)...

If you have MySky or another hard drive recording device, and your team is on TV ONE, view via that method, so much simpler and a better picture..

Yes, it's just the Samsung Smart TV application - This is what PLP support told me, and I was able to view the game on my laptop, at a time when it was not available on the TV app.

Agree with the thoughts on airplay via ipad, not perfect but just about acceptable,have tried conmunicating this to PLP about the judder when panning etc but they sent me links on how to set up airplay and then said probably something up with my router! Im actually on a very stable 37/7 vdsl connection which streams Netflix perfectly. I would like any tips if you guys have configured your Apple tv/tv a certain way.

I had the same issue, The picture appeared after a refresh around 6.58am, this could've been a slight issue as there was content running from 6.45 for pre-match build up.

I am currently trialling a range of browsers for the best HD experience and wandering anyone else out there who can recommend their favourite? I have a pretty powerful laptop being a designer.

What browser are you using? You can always call 0800 P L PASS for help with connecting, and it's a good idea to follow us on facebook and twitter too.

as im retired and a pensioner I am not even interested in going on facebook etc,im on IE broadband with spark and I finely got the game but not perfect a lot of jerking etc.would not waste my money buying sub,sell your rights to tvnz or sommett and that would make a lot of people happy.

Not Sommet as their picture quality although not jittery is absolutely woeful. If you want to watch a blurred mess watch them

Hi Happyone65 - might be worth trying a different browser. Firefox I think works very well!
