kiwifidget:

I have installed Matt's SparkSport Kodi add-on (Nvidia shield) but it looks a bit rubbish on my Samsung q7 tv.

Could someone please help me with the settings for best results.

Thank you.

I tried it yesterday too and it was SD at best. Never moved to FullHD. I tried onDemand videos. So meh... SparkSport app is good enough.

Go into the settings for the add on and select best as it defaults to pass-through which is a bit rubbish...

I'm currently watching the Singapore F1 Race, has anyone else seen vertical jumps throughout the stream?

The top of the video stream, dips to about half way through the screen. The top of the screen is filled with the image from the bottom half of the screen.

Same on Qualifying VOD on iOS App. Watching Race VOD on Kodi Add-On.

I've counted around 13 jumps so far.

i noticed it last night when I was watching live for me it was only happening on one corner of the track so I think it might have been the f1 camera🤷‍♂️

I've managed to get a screenshot of it, on Safari 12.1.2.

Let's see if I can correctly embed this image...

Other than that, the coverage video quality was great!

Haven't seen that since I was a kid in the early 1960s and our first TV had Horizontal and Vertical Hold pots on the back. You could get the picture to roll and stop like this by playing with the H Hold knob. 😀

Sometimes I just sit and think. Other times I just sit.

Does anyone know if multichannel audio is going to be added anytime soon?
Stereo is such a backwards step. The atmosphere of the stadium does not come through with stereo as much.

I am also pissed off that there's no 5.1 audio. It's my number 1 complaint, considering that this is a paid service not having 5.1 audio is completely unacceptable, this is essential as in 1080p as you cant have one without the other.

It's never bothered me personally. So long as I can hear the ref, the commentators and the players, I don't care much about surround sound in a sports match.

Agreed, it's actually quite useful for sports so as to allow voice through the centre, and atmosphere through the surrounds. Pro Logic gets close though, I can live with it for the sake of everything else working well this RWC though.

lol

dont pay for it then. and you can have one with out the other, you have it already.

its not the end of the world and making sure the picture quality is good and there are no streaming issues is more important than an extra 3.1 channels of audio

Anyone noticed the slight framerate drop for a few seconds every now and then in the F1.. Its been happening since the 30/60 fps change and only occurs on the occasional 'scene' i.e. a corner or something... There is an example with Danny Ric in Q2 where I think its one of the mid parts of the circuit the framerate tanks for a breif moment and then recovers.. during this time the image quality is good, but just the moving part of the equation.
