Is it not inclusive of Reg Season NFL and NBA?

Pricing seems right, but is missing NRL which for me is what I guy with an Aussie service which covers EPL as well as NRL and all of spark sport for $5 more.

Down with Sky Sport, promising no ads, then once had a monopoly introduced ads and then created Extortionate pricing for flappn TV. So have zero sympathy for them.

Netflix or Prime + Kayo = win.

Not sure if this helps anybody but I recently upgraded my Nvidia Shield from 2017 to the 2019 pro, one problem I had was Spark Sport, the original Android TV app was v 1.1, the app has been updating for the past year on the 2017 shield to v1.6.1, when I tried to install the original v1.1 on the new Shield it wouldn't load due to Android 9 incompatibility, so I managed to extract the updated app and migrate it to the new Shield and it seems to be working fine now. It's better than the basic Android phone version. Anyway download is here if it helps anyone.

I didnt notice any difference in the App TBH from when i first installed it 12 months ago, it was just a case of not being able to load the old app onto the 2019, as it was pre Android 9, so i extracted it from the 2017. Loaded fine and looks fine, but i guess if you dont need to upgrade then don't. Cheers

I have a Sony TV with Android TV 8 that works perfectly with Spark Sport. I decided I wanted a cheap second TV and recently purchased a Toshiba 50” 4K Android 8 TV on special at the warehouse. As discussed elsewhere the picture and sound are not as good as the Sony but at less than half price it’s fine. What I’m struggling with is that it doesn’t have the Spark Sport app available in the play store. I’ve asked Spark why and how to get Spark Sport on the Toshiba and all they’ve just come back with is the info from their website on which TV’s support Spark Sport. I may be naive but I thought the whole point of Android TV was that it was brand agnostic, just like Android on phones. Apart from Spark Sport everything else seems to work the same on the Toshiba as the Sony. Has anyone found a way of getting Spark Sport on a Toshiba or other Non-Sony Android TV without plugging in an extra box or streaming from another device?

Some NZ providers decide to make their apps comptabile with only some devices to reduce support requirements.  As Android TV is fairly universal most apps can be sideloaded, all you need to do is extract the app from the Sony TV and save it somewhere and sideload it on the Toshiba... or if you search fairly early on in this thread you'll find a download link to an older version.  Install a file browser from the app store (file commander etc.) that allows you to browse your google Drive and save the APK there and install from within the file browser.  Spark Sport app, like the lightbox app, is not actually limited once you have it and it autoupdates internally so currently once installed it doesn't need to go back to the play store to update.

Some of the older and lower end tvs simply can't handle the decoding etc. So if it was made avaliable, would purely be a bad experience.

I'd recommend talking to spark sport support though rather than spark.

Thanks Benoire, I’ve never done anything like that before but will have a go

Why would Supercar fans be waiting? If they’re fans they already have Sky or alternative (sky sports now, Kayo).

I don’t understand the post?

I used to watch Supercars when I had Sky. Now that the F1 moved I don't watch it. I suppose you could say I'm not a fan but I can't justify the cost of Sky. If it had come to Spark I would be happy.

Dammit!

Just this morning** I re-activated my Spark Sport account which is billed to my credit card.
Now it seems I could have consolidated it onto my Spark broadband+mobile account?
D'Oh!

FP1 for the Austrian Grand Prix from the Red Bull Ring

That's ok, you can just transfer it.

What will happen is when the billing is synced, spark sport will tell us when your billing expires, we will start billing straight away however credit the overlapping time, so no harm i going for it.

Does anyone know if Spark Sport are carrying the "Race for Perfection" F1 Sky Sport UK series?
Starts next weekend on Sky Sport UK
