PolicyGuy:

Does anyone know if Spark Sport are carrying the "Race for Perfection" F1 Sky Sport UK series?
Starts next weekend on Sky Sport UK

I tweeted spark a few weeks back they did not know back then. I would not hold out as spark is prity cheep and tight.

It's not linked to the F1 Bradcast rights.

'Race to Perfection, which will be shown exclusively in the UK on Sky and NOW TV on 12th September, was produced in-house by the Sky Sports F1 team and will be made available to a vast network of TV channels and streaming services across the world via NBCUniversal Global Distribution'

Some one will have it no doubt and look out on reddit it will prob pop up.

Anybody using Spark Sport on Nvidia shield? I know its not a sanctioned piece of hardware by Spark, but the Android tv version has worked ok for quite a while but i now get donuts just before the adverts, especially with premiership games. showing version 1.11.0.

2017 shield seems ok, 2019 shield is the problem?

can you let me know what version others are using, especially on the Shield.

Nope, its not officially sold in NZ so they won't support it... if Sky bring a shield based version as part of their improvements then we may have better luck...

Anyone having what appears to be a single frame drop/judder every 4-5 seconds with Spark Sport F1? Just signed back up to Spark Sport in the last couple of weeks and all sessions from Portugal and so far Imola are showing this issue on the "catch up" replay - haven't tested live.

Using an Apply TV 4K, ethernet cable, fibre etc. Not an internet issue as there is no buffering or resolution drop - it's just an annoying "glitch" which is really noticable with the fast F1 cars and is quite distracting.

I get this occasionally. When I do reboot the device and that seems to fix it. Happens across various devices for me - e.g.: today it was my laptop I watched the qualifying on.  Othertimes it the Mi Box I have connected to the TV.

Its annoying, but not so frustrating for me to do more than a quick restart.

I've had this constant judder every few seconds for most of the last several months on my 4th Gen AppleTV. and I've often wondered why no-one else has reported it. A reboot sometimes helps a bit but is not a reliable fix.

I was also wondering if it might be my Pihole blocking some analytics or something causing a stutter so I've taken to turning it off to see if it helps. Sometimes I think it helps, othertimes not, so I've not pinned that down as a cause.

Watching F1 Qualifying this morning had some stutters but wasn't as bad as previous occasions. I'm on 900/400 fibre and what I see doesn't ever feel like a buffering issue - more like a hitch related to the encoder/decoder or something like that.

Rebooting doesn't seem to help me - seems to consistently drop frames/judder every few seconds. I feel like it's the encode of the catch up which is the issue.

Might spend some time debugging on different devices, streams, replays, sports but part of me wonders why I should have to. Shouldn't this stuff just work by now? It's hardly new technology.

Mine was solid this morning (apart from the known Sony Bravia bugs when using ARC) on my Sony Bravia x95g, no issues worth noting when I watched around 11ish.

yeah, skipped bits due to time constraints but the actual sessions didn't glitch or stutter.
