lucky015: Try setting to 20mhz, Channel 6, Disable 5ghz, and an alt SSID and WPA key, If it works start reversing the changes one at a time.

My guess is apple devices and their shoddy wifi support for features supported by everything else.

Yes I have done most of this but Apple devices still not connecting. Not sure how to change the WPA key though. I only have an iphone4 and the Apple TV otherwise everything else is Windows, and no real problems with connecting Apple devices till now.

I have finally got Apple TV working after 3 days of grief.

This is what I have done;

A factory reset by plugging into a computer with mini USB cable using itunes. I didn't realise this would be different from doing a reset on the device itself.
There was an update from software release 6.1 to 6.1.1

Then using a TP Link Extender, I plugged a short ethernet cable from the TP into the Apple TV.
 I manually set the DNS settings and off it went. Yay.

Now I just need to work out how to reset the iphones so they will connect by wifi. I still have major wifi connectivity issues.

Thanks for your help.
