My nexus player arrived today.

Entered my Wifi details, it downloaded and installed a system update. I used my NZ google account.

Youtube is working fine.
Side loaded the Netflix Nexus Player APK and netflix works fine. The app shows on the homescreen.

I've checked my router logs and it isn't trying to go around my dns settings.

Havent tried any games as yet but everything I have tried is working

I tried it this way, no luck getting netflix installed from the play store. Side loaded it and it installed ok but keep getting a 100 error in the netfilx app and no joy.

EDIT: I did set it up first time with my NZ Google account, I wonder if that was my fatal error...

I have been using Netflix fine for a few weeks (installed from the Play Store using my US account)

Now I am getting the "Sorry we could not reach the netflix service (-100)" message.

I think that I had it for a while when I first set it up and it seemed to just come right. I will try again tomorrow.

Yep, that's the message I get. I have been using Plex pass on the player and resorting to my Chromecast for netflix. May have to put some time aside to have another go at sorting it.

Same results for me with both apk's you mention.

As explained earlier, I had NetFlix working fine with Orcon's Global mode.

Now I get the -100 error.

The Nexus Player does not allow me to use Unotelly DNS addresses like the Fire TV does.

I have spent hours trying to get it working again.

Does anyone in NZ have NetFlix working on their Nexus Player and if so, how?

Same problem here. I have tried a bunch of things to no effect, I have seen some posts about rooting the N Player and that works but I'm not so keen going there.

Nope, Constant (-100) error. It will be interesting to see what happens when netflix goes live for NZ on Tuesday (Tis Tuesday right?).

I have tried the Ninja Android TV specific apk and the the phone/tablet apk and both error. (as of trying again yesterday).

Orcon ISP.

Mine used to work via Orcon's Global mode and static routing of 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 to 10.1.1.1 (my modem's address) then it just stopped.

(My Amazon Fire TV continues to work but that does not have the Google DNS addresses hard coded)

For the NZ app did you change your Nexus Player login to your NZ Google account then download it?

Can you use your US Netflix account (username and password) with the NZ NetFlix app?

I'm using dns4me.net for dns as I'm not with Orcon.

I've always used my NZ google account on my Nexus player.

I uninstalled the manual APK, installed the NZ Netflix app and using it with my US netflix account

I have just done a factory reset, signed into my Nexus Player with my NZ Google account and installed NetFlix from the Play Store

I still get the -100 error

Installed NetFlix on my Nexus 6, and that works fine too although casting it to the Nexus Player does not work. (Other apps cast fine.)
