Cheers Bruce, your a top bloke for all your help!

After a day of playing, it seems that the geo-swap function now works - but i will take a couple more days of my free trial to work out of Unotelly does all i need it too, if not Unlock will be getting a download...

More playing tonight to see if i can swap regions and start watching, not get that content unavailable message as of yesterday...

As for now though, my little cherubs have discovered Dangermouse and are hooked.....!

I don't want no sugar in it - thank you very much

Unblock-Us, In my 5 minutes of playing with it (i got fed up with Unotelly) I think at least for me this seems to be the way to go, switching effortlessly between regions and (in my short assessment time, more to come tomorrow) not one "Content unavailable" message....all looking good so far....

I don't want no sugar in it - thank you very much

I'm guessing your saying this from an IPad perspective as I understand there is no BBC IPlayer app for the Apple TV? So airplay streaming like from your IPad to your apple TV when watching things off BBC IPlayer??

You may have got BBC iPlayer working already, but if you haven't there's an extra step that you need to do to get the app - you have to create (if you don't already have) a UK iTunes account to be able to see/download it. This is easily done in iTunes itself - just google for instructions, such as these: http://help.unotelly.com/support/solutions/articles/195730-how-to-download-bbc-iplayer-on-to-your-ipad-iphone-ipod.

It's totally worth it as the content is generally very good, and the quality's not bad either; it just relies on airplaying content to the Apple TV, as you mention. My parents (in their 80s) would watch way more via iPlayer than on their Netflix sub, but it's also good for kids' content as they have a many programmes that have real people (whereas it's basically a diet of solely cartoons on Netflix). That said, I introduced my kids to Danger Mouse the other week and they too were taken by it!

Confusion.... being a preemptive sort I thought I should sign up with unotelly again given that global mode is shutting down.

However with Orcons "default" dns settings I can get Suits on Netflix but I can't get BBC iPlayer ... not as global as I thought. So as I have said I resubscribed to Unotelly and popped in their dns settings. Great! BBC iPlayer no problems ... but no Suits.

So 2 questions...

1. When is "global" not global? and
2. Why cant I get Suits with Unotelly?

No idea about Global Mode sorry, as I've never used it. UnoTelly is far better anyway. But to answer your second question:

Perhaps you can't see Suits because you've got Unotelly set to a country that doesn't have this available? Going by the link posted above, the US doesn't have Suits, and I'd imagine Unotelly will default to the US for Netflix. Change Netflix regions in Unotelly to one of the countries that does have it (UK, Australia, Gemany...) and you should be able to find Suits.

It has worked so well for me in the past that I didn't realise I needed to change regions for additional content ... oops.

It has worked so well for me in the past that I didn't realise I needed to change regions for additional content ... oops.

Using 'Dynamo'. Login to your account and it's under the 'Quickstart' option.

Done, all good cheers. Still have an issue with UnoTelly telling me that my DNS setup is incomplete but I suspect it is because the settings are on the house router and not on the PC

Yes, that makes sense. Personally, I have the UnoTelly DNS on one PC only -- which is hooked up to our TV via HDMI cable. The router stays on standard DNS so other machines on the LAN aren't affected.

If you can stream or download BBC iPlayer programmes then your setup is correct and you don't need to worry about the error message. Dynamo is pretty cool the way it has so many channels allowing access to countless sites around the world that are otherwise Geo-Blocked.

We use an ipad app called istreamguide to help us find a movie internationally.

For example we wanted to watch Broadchurch series 2 on Netflix, so did a search on istreamguide. Its only available on Netflix Luxembourg, so we set that country on unblockus.

Its easy and the quickest way of finding a movie/ tv show that you want to watch.

Life is a daring adventure or nothing at all...

I use getflix, I find it's cheaper, easier to use, and they have servers in NZ.

You get a free trial so you may want to try it out. There is also an IOS app so you can control the region change from your iPad.

Remember when you are swapping regions you need to close the Netflix app and restart it, otherwise it can get horribly confused.... maybe this is where the content error message are happening?

Not sure how it is with Unotelly, but with Getflix there's no specific country selection required for iPlayer, ie it works all the time, no matter what any other region setting is set to.

Certain providers like Netflix have their own specific country settings in Getflix, and then a bunch of other providers are grouped together for selection, but none of these relate to iPlayer. All iPlayer needs is the DNS settings and current IP address in place.
