CutCutCut: I was looking for something I could stream via my xbox 360. ITV doesn't have an xbox 360 app but STV (Scottish version) does have an xbox 360 app. From what I can gather STV will be playing/streaming all the games. I assume it would be a simlar quality to ITV but I don't know. I haven't been able to test their website STV player as getflix (which I use for DNS) doesn't currently support it. They also have an android and iOS apps, and amazon app too i think. http://player.stv.tv/
Another possible option.

I tried to stream live channels from the ITV player website on the weekend through a getflix VPN but it was a pretty poor experience, but I'm unsure if that was the VPN or not.

Have you requested it from getflix? They are usually very responsive. They added/fixed Yahoo Screen for me when Community came out.

Total time between request and fix was less than a day.

Yes I did, they said they would add it to their requested list. But no timeframe when it would get added.

Unotelly supports STV. I've yet to try it out, but might give it a go to see if the quality is better than ITV or not.

I see STV has a FireTV app too.

Now I've got to remember how to access those UK FireTV apps.

What device will you use to view STV? Let me know how it goes for you.
I'm using dns4me which supports STV but not on the FireTV nor Android. But Jason will probably add it, if I ask.

cheers

Most likely I will airplay from my iPad to the Apple TV, if they support that (ITV does). If not I have a wee netbook with Unotelly DNS that I can hook up to the TV via HDMI. They also say on their help page that they have a PS3 app. The ITV app works really well on my PS3 and I believe I can get the STV app with a UK Playstation Network account.

Edited to add: I'll report back when I've had a chance to try it out. Will likely need to wait until this weekend.

There is a native ITV Player which you can sideload and works well. But it doesn't have Chromecast support so you  are stuck with watching on the device which is not ideal.

ITV Play does have Chromecast support but the few reviews on Play are not that encouraging.

I'm using dns4me on the tablet (samsung tab 3, 8 inch)and entered a glasgow postcode within the STV app but no videos would work. ITV I only had partial success again, the app would open, but afain no videos would play. I tried the ITV app on the tablet and firetv.

What is your set up to get the ITV app working?

Nothing special to using ITV app. I had to find a source to sideload it but I found that it was able to get updates from the Play store.

I am using Unotelly to get over geoblocking restrictions. Without that or something similar (Unblock US) I suspect it won't work.

Primetv has all the all blacks games from the quarter finals on wards live. Given that apart from the Argentina and maybe Tonga I don't think Ill miss too greatly not seeing the rest of their pool matches. They also have the opening ceremony and first game live, Eng vs Fiji . Not sure if they'll play adverts during the games, hope not. So it will just be the other games of interest I'll have to find, Ill probably go with itv

Cheers for these. The All Blacks' games are the most crucial for me. Nice to see they are live on Prime. Now, just have to fix up our temperamental TV reception.
