Pb Tech was the first retailer to supply the Chromecast 2 on Thursday, they have met their 100 unit limit so are no longer available yet. https://www.facebook.com/PBTechnologies/posts/10153176743926526

My shipito lot arrived Thursday but no 5ghz wifi at the mo. On 2.4 just as bad as the old ones. Perhaps the disconnection from apps is not wifi related but just failures with casting. Spotify connect is fine over the same wifi/lan.

$98.90 is quite a mark up!  I'd rather wait till they're available directly or just get the existing version (which I have and is awesome)

What about $35 from Google Play, no tax and free shipping to Youshop. So about NZ$52. Then can't be more than $12 to ship to NZ so $64 in total? Maybe get a friends on board since the shipping won't increase much.

The cheapest shipping I've ever managed from YouShop was $17.50 IIRC which was for something roughly the size & weight of the Chromecast. I usually expect it to be at least $5 more than it "should" be and I'm rarely disappointed.

I've got a spare one each of the Black Audio & Video Chromecasts, owes me $73 if someone wants one of either. Wellington.

I've had some stuff for way less thru shipito that's about the same size/weight. Used USPS and it was as fast as the DHL which surprised me. Usually send my sd cards and ssds that way since they are small and light.

Maybe I should have used ShipTo. I don't have an account with them. The only reason I used Youshop is that I might buy a Moto360 also and them combine shipping but I am cautious that the combination might take it over the GST free limit. Still even if I shop it by itself, it's only going to be about $68 (NZ). Of course that makes the $73 being offered quite attractive albeit too late for me now.

[EDIT]

Mine has arrived in Oregon and I presume will be delivered to Youshop tomorrow. I will have to eat the minimum $17.5 Youshop charge. I did look at Shipto but if you want an address in Oregon with no sales tax, then you need to create a virtual address and pay a monthly fee whereas for payment by shipment the address is in California or Nevada where the sales tax comes into play.
