Easiest is to wait until it's released at a Noel Leemings down the road I suspect, or at least able to buy online from an NZ provider.

Seeing Google Chromecast is available in New Zealand I suspect Chromecast 2 will appear in local retail soon.

Im doing google store and shipito.

Something that we all are going to have to worry about tho is the dick move by the FCC to make unlocking other 5GHz channels on things not be allowable. Might end up in the same situation on 5Ghz as ch 12 and 13 have on 2.4 with imported gear.

I thought the Google Store checked the billing address for your credit card matched the shipping address. How do you get around this?

I tried that last year with YouShop and it didn't work.  Must be something different  in the address format??

Given that the original Chromecast wasn't available in NZ until >6 months after it was released in the USA, you may be in for a wait unless someone knows otherwise.

Or just order it off Amaz... Oh wait...

Google

ComeGateway have a personal shopper service if you don't mind paying a premium where they'll buy it on your behalf, removing your location from the equation. You'd have to be pretty keen however. ShipitTo may have the same service.

Yeah I'm gonna put the audio one on my junk room stereo that I currently endure bluetooth audio on. How bluetooth a2dp ever got past design stage is a mystery to me. Guess the same people QCd it that think 112k mp3 is cd quality.
