The longer you leave it the less likly you are to have any luck with paypal. Its probably already too long but give it a shot before messing around with disputes, since disputes costs you, takes your time, and you are not able to recover either from the person you take there.

Had to happen sooner or later the way those clowns were promoting then content rather than the device. They wanted attention now they got it.

You can contact me to exchange details of how you have contacted them please. Many issues with this product and cannot make contact or should I say they don't reply to emails.

Hi there, I have started a FB page called "Issues with MyBox NZ".  I have over 60 members; people who have been burnt by My Box NZ and many of us have been successful by raising a dispute with PayPal (you must have paid via this method though).

These are the sellers hurting KODI's reputation.
https://kodi.tv/article/piracy-box-sellers-and-youtube-promoters-are-killing-kodi

Countries are thankfully starting to crack down on them:

(Now illegal in UK)
https://kodi.tv/article/selling-pirate-boxes-now-illegal-eu-dev-journal

No one wins except the clowns selling them.
The user ends up with broken streams for content they didn't know was illegal in the first place.

Personally I think most people using KODI will stream some illegal content at least once.
But, as long as your installing the add-ons yourself then you should know the risks / unreliability.

The pre-loaded boxes are different as they confuse buyers who assume it's somehow legit and reliable.
And it's people profiting from the illegal content.

His mistake is promoting the content rather than the device itself

Of course overcharging and ignoring customers who have issues is another matter.

Facebook just shutdown his page too

A page is not an account. But I was under the impression that if your page was killed you went in a timeout pool for making more of them, so he probably does have multiple accounts.

They dont try too hard to detect them, its only when people report them that it seems they make you prove that you are a real person and have to send them pics of ID etc

The My Box NZ Facebook page is now gone...

"Sky TV forces takedown of My Box NZ's Facebook page" (paywall):

Sky sent a cease and desist letter to My Box late last month, claiming the company was breaching copyright.

“… It appears that My Box not only encourages but also enables users to view infringing streams of copyright works and other copyright content that we believe have been made and distributed without the consent of copyright owners and relevant exclusive licensees, including Sky,” the letter reads.

The article goes on to say My BOX NZ claims to have sold 7,500 boxes.

And they're now spamming. I just received an email - which I have submitted to the DIA Spam Complaint team.

I have never dealt with this company, I have not registered for their mailing list but yet I received an unsolicited commercial email.

Spam reported. I hope the DIA fines them.

I have just received (probably) exactly the same spam - to my work email, as well, which I would never have used to sign up to anything.

I shall report it to the DIA as well.

Cheers

and there are now 150 people signed up to the issues with mybox nz facebook page. He's still up to his old tricks. Those asking for refunds are banned from his page. The address on his facebook page is fake and apparently he's also using a different name?

via facebook

"We tried to track him down, the address that he has on FB for his businesses don't exist, and we have also been blocked. He had also gone from being. Krish von Reddy to Krish Neil. Wtf."
