On 100Mb cable, we use 100GB per person so 500-600GB per month.

Interesting that the start of the university semester for three of us has halved their consumption so this month looks like being under 400GB.

We don't do a lot of streaming video. Mainly gaming, online storage, browsing, and video chat.

mine is 2 TB a month and i dont Have Netflix or any streaming services and i have no idea where it all comes from but it's been around there for 2-3 months now .3 pc's hooked up and it is all gaming and you tube and a few torrents. one son will go through 300 GB a month just downloading GTA 5 through stream 4-5 times a month , he likes modding it and when it all goes wrong he has to download it and start again. Games are huge these days .

If I was pulling even half that data, I'd want to know what machine and when it was doing it.

We use from 250 to 600 GB per month. This includes two teenage kids, Netflix, and a home office with several people working in it.

Slingshot have a dashboard widget on their user account page, I've been a customer since 2007.

Monthly usage (Feb):

2007 - 6GB

2008 - 7GB (over 6GB cap)

2009 - 12GB (over 6GB cap)

2010 - 27GB (well up - my guess teenager found bittorrent)

2011 - 13GB (down - we had an EQ and no internet for a week)

2012 - 14GB

2013 - 27GB

2014 - 45GB (IIRC this was after switch from ADSL to VDSL)

2015 - 71GB

2016 - 151GB

Now  - about 200GB / month.

Good question actually. 2 adult 1 child household with a lot of streaming going on. We're on a Vodafone unlimited plan (VDSL) and don't get supplied any info around our data usage.

Averaging 1-3TB per month.

Only hit 1TB this month as I nee to buy some more 8TB drives for my server and I'm not a fan of the price.

I'm on a Skinny 100Gb plan, with 2 sons under 10 my wife and I use almost exactly the full 100Gb/m (and religiously do app updates and all NF/iTunes downloads on the work's unlimited Fibre)
I've actually turned my NF download to SD (700MB/h) also, as we're now mainly streaming NF and can happily be doing three streams concurrently on the weekends. Had to return my Truenet probe as the extra 10Gb it chewed through just kept breaking my 100gb barrier about 4-5 days early each month. Seems like we'd happily use 250+ if we weren't limited 😉

When away over the summer we loaned our house to a visiting family with 3 teenage sons and they had to 'top up' the internet 3 times in the month they were here... apparently WITH strict limits for their kids (though also in holiday mode)

hmmmmm makes me wonder why my fire wal reports come back at between 900gb to 1.6tb on a bad week lol and 700gb to 900gb on a good week, but isnt that what unlimited data is for?

We are usually just below 1Tb per month.

Two tweens. YouTube, Netflix, Xbox and PS4. Most current generation games are 30-50gb downloads.
